If your evening skincare routine has become a two-bottle chore, Cetaphil's new oil to foam cleanser promises to make winding down a little easier.

The sensitive-skin favourite has just celebrated its latest launch with a pink-themed pop-up in Sydney, according to industry site BeautyDirectory.

The star of the show is the Cetaphil Nourishing Oil to Foam Cleanser, which retails for $25.99 for a 236mL bottle.

A Pink Party For A Foam Cleanser

The Sydney event was billed as an immersive pop-up, complete with interactive experiences, treats and giveaways.

It opened with a media and talent preview before the doors were thrown open to the public.

Fans could also meet Sopha Dopha, the content creator who is the face of the brand.

Guests at the preview included make-up artist Bianca Brown, NRLW star Zali Fay and a line-up of beauty creators.

It is a playful twist for a brand better known for its no-fuss, pharmacy-shelf approach.

What Does An Oil To Foam Cleanser Actually Do?

Oil cleansers have long been loved for melting away make-up, sunscreen and the grime of a busy day.

Foaming cleansers, on the other hand, give that fresh, squeaky-clean finish many of us enjoy.

This formula aims to combine the two, starting as a nourishing texture and turning into a lather when you add water.

Cetaphil describes it as a dual-action cleanser that removes dirt and make-up while protecting the skin barrier.

The brand says it is designed for normal to dry skin and is suitable for sensitive skin.

What's Inside The Bottle

The hero ingredients are PENTAVITIN, which Cetaphil says helps hydrate skin for up to 24 hours, and flaxseed oil to nourish and soothe.

Further down the ingredients list you will also find glycerin, panthenol and niacinamide, three popular skin-friendly ingredients.

The brand says the formula respects the skin's natural pH and rinses off without leaving residue.

It is labelled fragrance free, paraben free, non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic, and it has been dermatologist tested on sensitive skin.

Cetaphil also says it helps defend against five signs of skin sensitivity: dryness, irritation, roughness, tightness and a weakened barrier.

How To Use Your New Foam Cleanser

Start with a damp face, then work a small amount of the cleanser into a lather between your hands.

Add a little extra water if you prefer a thicker foam.

Massage it over your skin in gentle circles, paying attention to areas where make-up and sunscreen build up.

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing.

Cetaphil suggests using it as the first step in your routine, followed by its Gentle Skin Cleanser if you like to double cleanse.

Is It Right For Your Skin?

If your skin feels tight or dry after cleansing, a gentler formula like this may be worth trying.

It could also suit anyone who wears long-lasting make-up or daily sunscreen and wants a thorough but kind cleanse at night.

Those with very oily or breakout-prone skin may prefer to stick with a lighter gel formula, although the non-comedogenic label is a good sign.

As always, patch test a new product on a small area first, especially if your skin is reactive.

If you have ongoing redness, irritation or a skin condition such as eczema, it is wise to speak to your GP, pharmacist or a dermatologist.

Where To Buy It

The Nourishing Oil to Foam Cleanser is priced at $25.99 for 236mL and is available from Chemist Warehouse.

At that price, it is a budget-friendly way to try the oil-to-foam trend without splurging on a luxury label.

With summer around the corner and sunscreen season in full swing, a gentle cleanser that lifts away the day could be a very welcome addition to your bathroom shelf.
