Glass skin had its moment. Now beauty lovers are embracing the latest Korean skincare trend, "jelly skin", and one Australian beauty brand has launched an affordable way to try it.
Korean skincare has transformed beauty routines around the world, with trends such as glass skin, skin flooding and multi-step routines becoming staples on social media.
Now there's a new trend taking over TikTok feeds: "jelly skin".
The look is all about skin that appears deeply hydrated, plump and bouncy, with a fresh, healthy glow rather than a high-shine finish.
Australian skincare brand Skin Control is the latest to tap into the craze, launching Jelly Swipes Toner Pads designed to deliver hydration while simplifying the skincare routine.
Korean skincare's latest obsession is jelly skin
Unlike traditional toner pads, the new jelly-textured pads are designed to work as a toner, serum and mini sheet mask in one step.
The formula contains collagen, glycerin, five forms of hyaluronic acid, squalane and vitamin B5 to help replenish moisture, while peptides and ceramides are included to support the skin barrier.
The result, according to the brand, is skin that looks plumper, smoother and more hydrated.
Skincare doesn't have to be expensive
One reason Korean skincare has become so popular is its focus on hydration and skin health, but many imported products carry premium price tags.
Skin Control is aiming to make the trend more accessible, with its Jelly Swipes Toner Pads retailing for $22 for a pack of 60.
The pads are suitable for all skin types and designed for everyday use, offering a simple way for shoppers to try one of the latest K-beauty trends without committing to an elaborate routine.
Available online and through Chemist Warehouse and Big W, the launch reflects the growing demand for affordable skincare inspired by Korean beauty innovations.
Whether "jelly skin" will overtake glass skin as the year's biggest beauty trend remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Korean skincare continues to shape how Australians approach their daily skincare routines.
