Dog lovers to converge on Melbourne this November.

Dog lovers and wellness advocates are set to converge on Melbourne this November for Canine Masters 2025, an event organisers say will transform the way pet owners think about natural health.

Taking place at The Capitol on November 15, the full-day conference will feature world-class speakers, live talks, an expo, and an evening cocktail function. The event is backed by major sponsor The Pet Food Shop and co-hosted by Augustine Approved founder Phivo Christodoulou and Michelle Cummins of the Natural Pet Farmacy and STAN Pet Beds.

“We’re thrilled to launch the very first Canine Masters event, a groundbreaking experience for anyone passionate about natural canine health,” said Christodoulou.

“It’s a global coming together of some of the most respected minds in the field. We are absolutely delighted to announce our world-class lineup for 2025!”

Among the speakers are US clinical herbalist Rita Hogan, veterinary homoeopath Dr Michael Dym, integrative veterinarian Dr Matthew Muir, and Caroline Ingraham, founder of Applied Zoopharmacognosy in the UK.

Michelle Cummins said the event would go beyond a typical industry gathering.

“Canine Masters is more than a conference. It’s a leading forum for advancing canine health and wellbeing through natural, science-backed practices, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of an event that brings such valuable knowledge to our pet-loving community,” she said.

Hogan, author of The Herbal Dog, warned that pets are increasingly exposed to synthetic chemicals, processed food and chronic stress. “Dogs’ natural resilience is being eroded, and they need more than isolated treatments.

They need whole-system, individualised support. It’s summits like Canine Masters that are leading the way by teaching people how to work with nature, not against it.”

Dr Muir, co-founder of Lyka Pet Food and Clinical Director of All Natural Vet Care, will share preventative care strategies.

“We’re seeing a rise in chronic conditions, like cancer, autoimmune disease and digestive disorders. Functional medicine allows us to address these at the root level rather than simply managing symptoms, and reshape preventative pet care and outcomes.”

Christodoulou described the event as a celebration of collaboration. “It’s not about competition; it’s about collaboration and community. We’re creating something special for the pet wellness industry and giving back through shared knowledge, connection and spirit.”

Organisers said the event had already generated international interest, with pet parents and industry professionals booking travel from across Australia as well as Singapore and Malaysia.
