Under Armour is stepping into a new era of innovation and expression with the launch of UA HALO, a footwear collection that redefines how the brand designs, performs, and presents itself to athletes and sneaker lovers alike.
The HALO collection signals a fresh chapter for the US sportswear powerhouse, one that goes beyond function to fuse identity, aesthetics, and performance in a way the brand hasn’t attempted before.
At its core is a design revolution: for the first time in Under Armour’s history, its iconic double-arch logo isn’t just a finishing touch, it’s part of the shoe’s very structure.
This embedded design element provides real-world benefits in balance and stability, working hand in hand with UA’s renowned HOVR superfoam cushioning for energy return and shock absorption.
“Every element of HALO, from the embedded double-arch logo to the symmetry of the silhouette, was created to reflect a deeper sense of balance, purpose, and performance,” says Yassine Saidi, Chief Product Officer at Under Armour.
“It’s not only about how the shoe looks, but how it moves with the athlete, how it supports them, and how it expresses who we are as a brand.”
This holistic philosophy of symmetry and balance extends beyond looks. HALO’s design language is about creating a seamless connection between form and function, ensuring that every stride, sprint, or squat feels as good as it looks. T
The brand positions it as footwear for the “everyday athlete” - the millions of people who may not be professionals, but who treat their workouts, runs, and gym sessions with serious intent.
The collection launches with three distinct models, each designed to meet different needs:
The Racer: Available now, this model is made for speed and responsiveness, ideal for daily runs or energetic workouts where agility and pace matter. Its lightweight build is tuned for that quick, alive feel underfoot.
The Runner: Also available now, this sneaker focuses on versatility, blending energy-returning cushioning with rock-solid arch support. It’s built for those who want a reliable shoe that performs across long distances while keeping comfort at the forefront of mind.
The Trainer: Arriving soon, this model incorporates the structural stability of the double-arch design with a locked-in seamless upper. It’s engineered for the gym floor — from weight training to HIIT — promising to keep athletes grounded through the toughest sets.
“Our logo has always been a symbol of balance, symmetry, and being centred in the chaos,” says Kevin Plank, Founder and CEO of Under Armour.
“With HALO, we’re taking that idea further than ever before. For the first time, our identity is embedded in the very structure of the shoe.
"It’s an exciting step forward and one that reflects where we’ve come from and more importantly, where we’re going.”
For sneaker fans, the HALO range is more than a performance upgrade, it’s also a new design language that doubles as a fashion statement. With its bold embedded logo and clean, balanced silhouette, it carries an aesthetic edge designed to resonate on the street as much as on the track or in the gym.
The company is aiming to strengthen its presence in the lifestyle space, at a time when performance sneakers increasingly cross over into everyday wear.
By embedding its DNA into the shoe itself, Under Armour is making a play for deeper brand recognition while also setting up a foundation for future collections. HALO represents what the brand calls a more
“unified and expressive” vision, one that underscores its commitment to both athletes and identity.
The UA HALO collection is available now at UA.com, Under Armour Brand Houses, and select retail partners globally, with The Trainer scheduled to launch in Australia soon.
