THE BLOCK 2026 RESULTS: ALL FIVE HOUSES SELL AND COURTNEY AND SEV MAKE HISTORY

It was a night of happy tears and record-breaking bids as The Block 2026 wrapped up with all five houses selling under the hammer.
The auctions took place in Mount Eliza, on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, and every home sold above its $3.45 million reserve, according to Domain.
Between them, the five teams walked away with a combined profit of about $3.55 million.
The Block 2026 winners
The big winners were Brisbane pair Courtney and Sev, whose House 4 sold for $4.72 million.
That gave them a profit of $1.27 million, the biggest win in the show's history.
On top of that, they collected the $100,000 winners' prize and a $500,000 prize pool, which Mamamia says brings their total to about $1.87 million.
Courtney told Domain the pair never imagined they would walk away with that kind of money.
House 4 also drew 17 registered bidders, the most the show has ever had on one house.
How everyone else went
Rick and Tayla came second, with House 5 selling for $4.355 million and a profit of $905,000.
Lisa and Rosco's House 3 sold for $4 million, giving them a $550,000 profit.
Their auction was the longest in Block history, with more than 100 bids over about 40 minutes.
Adam and Jolene's House 1 sold for $3.905 million, for a profit of $455,000.
Chantel and Wyatt's House 2 sold for $3.817 million, leaving them $367,000 better off.
The pair had a tough season, becoming the first team in 22 seasons not to win a single room reveal, but they still went home smiling.
Chantel told Domain: "To have a 100 per cent sell rate is insane."
Who bought the houses
House 4 was snapped up by a local Melbourne family who are long-time fans of the show.
House 3 went to Mount Eliza local Heidi Eckert, according to Domain.
There was another first on the night too, with 22-year-old Ryan King becoming the youngest auctioneer in the show's history.
How times have changed
To put the numbers in perspective, the first ever winners of The Block, Fiona and Adam, took home $256,000.
This year, even the team that came last made well over that amount.

What renovators at home can learn
You don't need a Block budget to take a few lessons from the show.
Kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor areas often attract the most attention from buyers, so they're worth getting right if you're planning to sell.
A smart floor plan, plenty of storage and good natural light tend to matter more than expensive gimmicks.
Fresh paint, tidy gardens and clean, uncluttered rooms can make a big difference to first impressions at open homes.
And if you're renovating to live in rather than to sell, choose what makes your daily life easier, not just what looks good on camera.
Think about how you'll actually use each room day to day before spending big on finishes.
Set a realistic budget with a buffer of at least 10 to 15 per cent, because surprises behind walls are common.
Get several quotes from licensed tradespeople and check their reviews before anyone picks up a tool.
A finale to remember
For fans, this season delivered everything we tune in for: drama, tears, clever design and a nail-biting auction night.
For the contestants, it was life-changing money that could set them up for years.
Whether you were cheering for Courtney and Sev or quietly backing the underdogs, it's hard not to feel happy for all five teams.
Now the countdown begins for the next season of The Block, and the guessing game over where they'll build next.
