THE APPLIANCE AND TECH BRANDS AUSTRALIANS RATE BEST IN 2026

Thinking about buying a new appliance or tech gadget? Finder’s latest customer awards reveal the brands Australians rated highly for value, reliability and performance.
So which brands are actually keeping Australian customers happy?
Finder has revealed the winners of its 2026 Customer Satisfaction Awards, based on feedback from more than 50,000 Australians across a range of appliance and technology categories.
The results throw up some familiar names, but also a few surprises – including several budget brands beating more expensive rivals.
KitchenAid and Bosch dominate the appliance awards
Two of the biggest winners were KitchenAid and Bosch.
KitchenAid took home 34 awards, including the overall most loved brand for small kitchen appliances.
Bosch was not far behind, with 35 wins across 10 categories. It also won six of the seven oven awards.
The kitchen bench was one of the most competitive areas, with KitchenAid recording 34 wins, followed by Sunbeam with 24 and Ninja with 19.
Budget brands are giving the big names a run
You don't necessarily need to spend a fortune to get a well-rated appliance, according to the results.
ALDI picked up awards for kettles, including top value and most recommended, while Big W claimed four rice cooker awards and Kmart took three slow cooker awards.
Finder's Taylor Blackburn says the results show that price and customer satisfaction don't always go hand in hand.
“You don’t have to spend big to get a quality appliance,” Blackburn said.
Ten brands swept their categories
Ten brands managed a clean sweep, winning every available award in their respective categories.
They included Bosch for stick vacuum cleaners, Dell for printers, Apollo for electric scooters, Westinghouse for freezers, Panasonic for microwaves, Sunbeam for sandwich makers, KitchenAid for small appliances, hand blenders and stand mixers, Rinnai for gas heaters, Arovec for dehumidifiers and Fisher & Paykel for washing machines.
Arovec takes on Dyson
One of the more unexpected results came in air treatment, where Arovec picked up 12 awards across three categories.
It swept the dehumidifier category and beat Dyson for top value, most reliable and most recommended in air purifiers.
In other tech categories, Apple was named most loved for both laptops and tablets, while Samsung was named the most loved TV brand for the seventh consecutive year.
Alienware picked up top value and most recommended for laptops, Acer won three of five tablet awards, and Canon took four of five camera awards.
What does it mean if you're shopping for a new appliance?
The awards are based on how more than 50,000 Australians rated brands for factors including trust, value and whether they would recommend them to others.
That means the results are less about technical specifications and more about how customers feel after actually buying and using the products.
And perhaps the biggest takeaway is that a familiar or expensive name doesn't automatically mean a better experience.
With brands including ALDI, Kmart, Big W and Arovec performing strongly against more established competitors, it may pay to look beyond the biggest names before handing over your credit card.
Finder says its awards are not paid for, with the company choosing not to charge brands licensing fees for its award badges.
