SYDNEY DOG OWNER ADMITS HER COCKER SPANIEL LIVES A LUXURY LIFE

Australian pet owners are splashing out more than ever, with one Sydney mum admitting she treats her beloved Cocker Spaniel like a fully-fledged family member.

.

Nat, 35, from Sydney, says Oscar, her five-year-old dog, enjoys the kind of pampered lifestyle usually reserved for small children—complete with a pet stroller, zip-lock meal prep, and even home-cooked scrambled eggs for dinner.

“He’s a part of the family, so why wouldn’t I spoil him?” Nat said. “My kids get the best, so Oscar should too.”

Nat recently bought a pet stroller so Oscar can enjoy outings in comfort after running out of steam at the park. “He’s extremely energetic—just ask any Cocker Spaniel owner! He usually starts off running around like crazy but always ends up in the pram when he’s tired,” she said.

A portable dog water bottle has also become a must-have for Nat, who says it prevents Oscar from dunking his paws in public water bowls and making a mess.

The pampering doesn’t stop there. Oscar’s meals are carefully pre-packed into individual bags to ensure precise portions, and his dinner often includes freshly scrambled eggs.

“It might sound a bit much, but I want to make sure he’s getting exactly what he needs, especially to keep his coat looking so beautiful—we get so many compliments on it,” Nat said.

With Australians reportedly spending over $150 a month on their pets, Nat’s story reflects a growing trend of owners going the extra mile to care for their furry companions.
