Reflections Holidays is moving beyond accommodation, opening venue spaces for hire across New South Wales in locations that lean hard into scenery and access to nature.

The state-run group oversees 40 holiday parks on Crown land and has 17 established venue spaces already taking bookings.

Profits from venue hire will be reinvested in the parks and surrounding reserves.

Options range from the romantic Norah Head Lighthouse Reserve for weddings to the premium Wilderluxe Lake Keepit for corporate retreats, plus inland destinations like Lake Burrendong and Copeton Waters, where boating, golf and mountain biking are on the doorstep.

Events are pitched as a driver of local economies, supporting accommodation, food, transport, retail and entertainment, and sharpening destination brands in regional NSW.

“What really sets Reflections apart is the location of our parks nestled near some of the state’s most beautiful natural spots and waterside attractions, with access to function centres and nature reserves and, of course, our range of park accommodation,” Reflections CEO Nick Baker said.

“We believe life’s better outside and there’s no better way to stage an event in our view than mixing it with the best of nature, scenic surrounds, the chance to incorporate exercise or just relaxing, exploring and connecting with colleagues or loved ones, depending on the occasion.”

Recent activity includes the Rise and Shine Wellness Festival at Norah Head Lighthouse Reserve, which drew strong feedback from stallholders, according to event manager Lara Coffey.

“We would love to organise another event there soon. The staff went above and beyond to help us in the lead-up and all through the event day, and we couldn’t be more thankful,” Ms Coffey said.

Minister for Lands and Property and Tourism Steve Kamper said Reflections’ approach demonstrates how Crown land can be leveraged for the benefit of the community and visitors.

“By opening up its picturesque venues for events as well as holidays, Reflections is helping more people experience the natural beauty of regional NSW while supporting jobs and economic growth,” Mr Kamper said.

“This expansion into event hire is a smart and inclusive use of public land, with all profits going back into the reserves while creating further opportunities for local operators, event organisers and educators.”

Reflections says its venues can accommodate corporate retreats, conferences, and meetings; school and sports groups; weddings and special occasions; festivals and community events; education and training programs; and even film productions.
