THE SCULPTING PANTS EVERY WOMAN NEEDS (YES, YOUR BUM WILL THANK YOU)

There’s a moment most women know well. You try something on, turn to the mirror, and pause. Not quite right. Not quite you.

And then, every so often, you slip into something that just works. No adjusting, no second-guessing. Just a quiet, instant yes.

That’s the idea behind Motto Fashions’ Miracle Range, a collection that has built a loyal following for one simple reason: it delivers on the promise most clothes only hint at. It's sculpting pants at their very best.

The confidence factor of sculpting pants

For Faye Browne, Head Designer at Motto, the thinking is refreshingly straightforward. After decades in fashion, she wasn’t interested in trends for the sake of it.

“Look, I've been dressing women for 40 years, and the one thing I kept hearing — from customers, from our community — was that they wanted something that made them feel good. Not hidden, not squeezed in, just genuinely good," she tells Lifestyle News.

That distinction matters. This isn’t about squeezing into something unforgiving or disguising your shape. It’s about working with it.

“So I thought, let's design something that actually works with your body. Something that smooths and supports without making you feel like you're in a corset. That confidence boost the moment you slip it on — that was always the goal. And honestly? We nailed it.”

The fit that does the work

The difference, Browne says, comes down to construction. Anyone can make something tight. Very few make it flattering and wearable at the same time.

“Anyone can make something fitted. But making something that shapes you subtly, that moves with you, that feels supportive in all the right places without being restrictive — that takes real thought," she says,

It’s the kind of design you don’t notice, which is exactly the point.

“This range? You forget it's doing the work. That's what makes it special.”

No more hiding

If there’s a quiet rebellion in this collection, it’s against the idea that women should default to oversized, shapeless clothing.

“Because I'm done with women hiding! Forty years in fashion and I still see women defaulting to baggy or boxy because they don't feel confident in their shape," Faye says,

Instead, the Miracle Range leans into fit, not as something revealing, but something empowering.

“When something fits you properly — really fits you — it's transformative. It's not about being revealing. It's about feeling polished, put together, and proud. A great fit does that. Full stop.”

Comfort is non-negotiable

Of course, sculpting pieces often come with a catch. They look great, but feel like punishment by lunchtime.

Browne wasn’t interested in that trade-off.

“Non-negotiable. Absolutely non-negotiable. I always say — what's the point if you can't actually live in it?”

"The goal was something that moves through your day with you, not against you.

“You should be able to sit down for lunch, run to a meeting, do your whole day — and that piece is just quietly doing its thing in the background. That's the sweet spot. That's what I was after.”

Who it’s really for

Despite the name, the Miracle Range isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about a feeling.

“Every woman. Genuinely. We didn't sit down and design this for one type of woman — we designed it around a feeling.”

“That feeling of putting something on and just thinking, yes. Whatever that looks like for you.”

How to wear it now

Styling-wise, the rules are loose, which is part of the appeal. The contrast between structured and relaxed is where it comes alive.

“I love it dressed down just as much as dressed up — throw an oversized blazer over it, keep it relaxed and modern. That contrast of fitted underneath and loose on top is so effortlessly chic right now.”

Or lean into it.

“But it also looks absolutely fab dressed up with a great heel and some statement jewellery. That versatility is what I love most. It's a piece that works as hard as you do.”

The takeaway

Clothes don’t fix everything. But the right ones can shift how you move through the day. A little straighter, a little more certain, a little less in your head.

And sometimes, that’s all it takes.

So, does your bum look good in this?

If it’s the right pair, you won’t need to ask.
