Bargain beauty lovers, take note, because the Kmart makeup aisle is about to get a K-beauty glow-up.
Kmart is expanding its popular Korean beauty offering with its first ever Korean makeup brand, Colorgram, arriving in stores this November.
Prices start at just $15, according to Yahoo Lifestyle.
Kmart makeup takes the next step
The move comes about six months after Kmart began stocking Korean skincare.
That range has clearly struck a chord with shoppers, and now the retailer is branching out into colour.
Kmart's beauty buyer, Nicola Farrell, hinted there is plenty more to come.
"There's more in the tank," she said.
Who is Colorgram?
Colorgram was launched in 2018 by CJ Olive Young, the South Korean retailer behind one of the world's best-known beauty chains.
The brand is aimed mainly at Gen Z and teens, with playful packaging and a focus on fresh, youthful looks.
So if you have a teenager at home, there is a good chance this name is already on their wish list.
But there is no age limit on a pretty lip tint, and many of the formulas suit women of all ages.
Mums and daughters may well find themselves sharing more than just the bathroom mirror.
What's in the range
The launch line-up includes some of the brand's best-known products.
There is the Fruity Glass Tint Deep Glaze and the Fruity Glass Tint Milk, which promise that juicy, glossy lip look K-beauty fans adore.
The Tin Tin Dory Cotton Blusher is designed for a soft flush of colour.
The Nude Blur Tint offers a more natural finish for everyday wear.
The All-in-one Aegyo-sal Maker Eyeshadow is inspired by the Korean trend of highlighting the area just under the eyes for a bright, youthful look.
And the Reforming Contour Stick rounds things out for those who like a little definition.
Prices range from $15 to $30, though individual prices for each product had not been released at the time of writing.
When can you buy it?
The range is due in Kmart stores from November.
Online availability has not yet been confirmed, so keep an eye on the Kmart makeup page for updates.
In the meantime, you can browse the existing Korean skincare range online.
Why K-beauty is having such a moment
Korean beauty has been a global phenomenon for more than a decade, and it shows no sign of slowing down.
Fans love its focus on skin-first, glowy looks and its clever, often playful, formulas.
Tints in particular are popular because they are easy to apply, build up nicely and tend to feel lightweight on the lips and cheeks.
Having this kind of brand available at the local Kmart, alongside the weekly shop, makes K-beauty far more accessible to Australians.
Until now, many fans have relied on specialist stores or online marketplaces to get their hands on Korean makeup.
Being able to try it while picking up a new set of towels or a birthday present is a real convenience.
It also means you can see shades in person before you buy, which is a big plus with makeup.
Our tips for trying K-beauty makeup
If you are new to lip tints, start with a light layer and build up gradually, as many formulas are more pigmented than they look.
Tap tints onto the centre of the lips and blend outwards with your fingertip for a soft, blurred effect.
A cream or cotton-style blush can be dabbed onto the apples of the cheeks and blended upwards for a fresh flush.
As with any new product, patch test first if you have sensitive skin.
And remember, K-beauty looks are all about glowing skin, so a good moisturiser and sunscreen underneath will make everything look better.
With prices from $15, this is a fun and affordable way to experiment with a new look this summer, whatever your age.
