Australians have a new tropical spirit to sip this summer with the launch of El Toro Coconut Tequila.
The latest addition blends bold agave with creamy coconut for a drink designed to suit everything from beachside cocktails to backyard barbecues.
Crafted from El Toro Clásico, the Coconut Tequila is built for versatility.
Think Coconut Margaritas by the pool, mango highballs on the deck, or a creamy coconut spin on weekend classics.
“Coconut Tequila has this instant vacation-in-a-glass quality,” says Eloise Penny, Brand Manager at Vok Beverages.
“Australians love anything that feels laidback and sun-soaked, and this spirit really captures that energy.”
The launch arrives as tequila itself continues its rise. Australia has become the world’s fourth-largest tequila market, with fresh flavours and playful serves drawing in a new generation of drinkers.
“Tequila has shifted from shots at midnight to being the hero of spritzes and cocktails,” Penny adds. “Coconut gives it a fun, fresh edge; it’s approachable for first-timers but still exciting for those who already love agave.”
Beyond flavour, the brand is positioning the new release as an entertainer’s ally.
“We wanted a bottle that feels just as at home at a backyard barbecue as it does on a bar menu,” Penny says.
“It’s about giving people something they can play with, a spirit that feels premium but still easy-going.”
Tasting notes point to creamy tropical aromas, smooth agave layered with velvety coconut, citrus and a gentle warmth.
